Lead Engineer (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Engineer to drive the next phase of growth for a rapidly evolving technology platform. In this role, you will lead a team of talented engineers, define and guide the architectural direction, and ensure operational excellence at scale. You will collaborate closely with product managers to shape product decisions and deliver solutions that delight users. This is a remote-first role, offering the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment where your technical leadership directly impacts the success of the platform and the experience of thousands of users worldwide.

Accountabilities:

·         Lead a dedicated team of engineers responsible for core product development.

·         Serve as a hands-on technical contributor, setting high standards for code quality and delivery speed.

·         Define, evolve, and maintain the overall system architecture in line with product and engineering goals.

·         Analyze product usage metrics to inform decisions, prioritize work, and drive product excellence.

·         Mentor and support engineers, providing guidance to foster growth and best practices.

·         Plan and coordinate engineering execution, breaking down tasks and ensuring efficient delivery.

·         Run team processes autonomously while escalating challenges when necessary.

·         Participate actively in hiring and interviewing to build a strong, high-performing team.

·         5–8+ years of strong engineering experience, including individual contributor roles.

·         3+ years of proven experience leading successful engineering teams.

·         Expert-level proficiency in Python and solid knowledge of frameworks such as Django or Flask.

·         Strong JavaScript and backend application development skills.

·         Experience with Docker, cloud platforms (AWS preferred), and database design.

·         Demonstrated ability to ship high-quality products reliably.

·         BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience; MS/PhD is a plus.

·         Excellent communication skills, with ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.

·         Comfortable navigating ambiguity, taking ownership, and driving results.

·         Self-motivated, diligent, and highly collaborative work ethic.
