The Opportunity

Are you a seasoned financial professional with a passion for compliance, tax, and regulatory matters? LegalVision, a leader in innovative legal services, is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to join our team and oversee financial operations across three jurisdictions.

What You'll Do: As Financial Controller, you will:

  • Full-time permanent role
  • Lead compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to financial regulations across all jurisdictions.
  • Manage and optimize tax planning and reporting processes, including indirect taxes (e.g., VAT, GST).
  • Oversee treasury operations, ensuring effective cash flow management and currency risk mitigation.
  • Establish and maintain financial controls to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulators.
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts for Australia and the UK
  • Investor relations
  • Develop and implement policies for financial compliance and risk management.
  • Support strategic decision-making with financial insights and data analysis.

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/CA qualification is essential.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial control, compliance, or similar roles, ideally in professional services or a multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of tax, regulatory, and compliance frameworks in Australia, the UK, and New Zealand.
  • Proficiency in treasury management, including FX exposure and liquidity planning.
  • Hands-on experience with financial systems and controls.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset to thrive in a growing organization.
  • Having worked with private equity is a bonus.
