Job Title: Tax Preparer/Tax Associate Location: Export, PA - On-site Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Tax Preparer/Tax Associate to join our team. This role is crucial for our tax season and involves handling simple taxes and 1099 forms. The ideal candidate will start by managing tax-related tasks and gradually grow within the department, eventually leading and building out the tax arm. This position offers the opportunity to step into a higher role over time and head the department, with two tax associates reporting to you.Key Responsibilities:• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.• Oversee and mentor two tax associates.• Develop and maintain robust internal control systems for tax processes.• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.• Collaborate with other departments to provide tax-related insights and support for various projects.• Prepare and present tax reports to senior management and stakeholders.• Assist in the development and implementation of the company's tax strategy.Qualifications:• Preferably a CPA or equivalent certification.• High energy and positive attitude.• Well-spoken with excellent communication skills.• Strong technical skills in tax areas.• Accounting experience is a plus.• Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.• Proven leadership characteristics and the ability to grow with time into higher roles.
