Customer Service Representative - General Office

Job Title: Customer Service Representative - General Office

Location: On-Site, North Smithfield, RI

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

The Role:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our general office team at our wholesale company located in Northern Rhode Island. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional support to retailers and sales representatives, while efficiently handling day-to-day office tasks and maintaining accurate records within our order management systems.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming retailer phone calls regarding order placement and product/service inquiries.
  • Enter and manage Sales Orders, Pick Tickets, Invoices, and product information using distributor software.
  • Track and communicate order and backorder statuses to customers and internal teams.
  • Resolve product or service-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide administrative support to Sales Representatives as needed.
  • Perform general office duties including copying, faxing, filing, and other clerical tasks.
  • Experience with distribution software modules, such as Order Entry, Inventory, Accounts Receivable, and Billing (e.g., Sage MAS 200, NetSuite).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Internet browsers, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Our compensation package is designed to match industry standards and account for factors like your geographical location, expertise, and years of experience. The starting pay range for this hourly position is:

$18.25 to $23.00 per hour.
