Lucid Motors leads the future of luxury electric vehicles with innovative and sustainable mobility solutions. They seek a skilled Software Engineer specializing in Perception Algorithms to develop and optimize sensor fusion and localization technologies for autonomous driving systems.

Skills

Proficient in Python and C++ for real-time computing.
Skilled in Linux development, debugging, and optimization.
Experience with sensor fusion techniques including Kalman Filters and Bayesian Inference.
Strong knowledge of probabilistic models, SLAM, and Kalman filtering.
Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
Experience with ROS, middleware, and real-time constraints.
Vehicle testing and data collection skills.
Tool development for data visualization and automated evaluation.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize perception algorithms for Level 2/3 autonomous driving systems using camera, LiDAR, and RADAR data.
Implement and enhance vehicle localization using GNSS, IMU, LiDAR, and visual odometry.
Design and develop occupancy grid fusion techniques for environment modeling and obstacle detection.
Implement drivable space estimation using classical and deep learning methods.
Develop custom tools for sensor data visualization, debugging, and algorithm evaluation.
Write high-performance, real-time software for embedded automotive platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration and robust implementation.
Test, release, and deploy perception algorithms into production vehicles.
Support validation and verification using prototype and pre-production vehicles.
Propose innovative software algorithms to advance autonomous driving capabilities.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
3+ years of relevant work experience or Ph.D. for senior roles.
