About the role:

We’re looking for a software engineer with expertise in back end engineering and core infrastructure to join our team. You will be responsible for building backend infrastructure for decentralized and distributed machine learning at scale, and conducting and implementing cutting-edge research for high uptime, scaleable, and fault-tolerant decentralized systems.

You will:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs

• Take ownership of critical backend systems and help shape the architecture of our decentralized ML training platform

• Build and deploy solutions that scale across 10,000+ GPUs, impacting the AI training ecosystem

• Work on container orchestration for training and inference workloads

• Collaborate closely with the team to architect and optimize cloud-based infrastructure

• Implement robust monitoring and logging for system observability

• Contribute to system performance tuning and scalability efforts

• Work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment with autonomy and freedom to experiment

• Gain hands-on experience working on blockchain integrations and decentralized systems

• Be part of a small, tight-knit team where your contributions will define the success of the company

Requirements:

• You have 7+ years of experience as a software engineering with expertise in backend engineering and infrastructure

• You have 5+ years in Python, Golang, Rust or similar languages

• You have experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker Swarm)

• You have expertise in different cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)

• You have experience in designing and building APIs (RESTful or GraphQL)

• You have a high degree of initiative and end-to-end project ownership

• You have strong communication and collaboration abilities

• You have excellent problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly

Nice to haves:

• Previous experience in a startup environment

• Experience building decentralized networks

• Experience in designing distributed systems with low latency and high availability

• Knowledge of smart contract development (e.g. Solidity)

• Passion for AI or web3
