Description

Markon's partner company is seeking an experienced IT Operations/Close Support Specialist to provide comprehensive IT support for an intelligence customer.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain servers, networks, and databases to ensure operational efficiency.
• Manage patch applications, software updates, and file/log maintenance.
• Perform IT security and vulnerability assessments to maintain system integrity.
• Support customer IT accreditation efforts and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Configure and manage VPN technologies, VLANs, and firewalls.
• Work with Linux OS, Cisco IOS, and OracleDB to maintain system performance.
• Develop and maintain scripting solutions using Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
• Troubleshoot network and system issues while implementing proactive solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 6 years of relevant IT operations and system administration experience.
• TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph
• Hands-on expertise in server administration, networking, and database management.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python) for automation and system maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of basic network principles, VPN technologies, and IT security best practices.
• Experience managing Linux OS, Cisco IOS, OracleDB, VLANs, and firewalls.

Salary Range

USD $130,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
