The Role

Medely is currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to add to our finance team.  This associate will process weekly W2 payroll for hourly healthcare professionals and conduct the necessary onboarding activities. This payroll function leverages Paylocity to ensure accurate payment to workers across multiple states. The associate should understand the core concepts of payroll and have a keen eye for detail. They will also be expected to assist in ad-hoc billing activities across Medely to support growth and ensure payroll accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Process a weekly multi-state payroll for 50-200 hourly remote employees

  • Process all onboarding, tax setup, and employee outreach

  • Escalate and problem-solve directly with employees via text, email, and phone when issues arise

  • Communicating directly with financial operations management when exceptions occur and effectively cooperating with remote Medely teammates

  • Support Medely billing operations through ad-hoc activities - time/adjustments, credit/debit memos

Minimum Requirements

  •  3+ years of end-to-end payroll processing for 100+ employees with a modern payroll system (Paylocity, Rippling, ADP, Paychex, Paycor, Paycom, etc.)

  • Experience with a remote workforce and collecting time and labor data to ensure perfect payroll accuracy

  • Familiar with 940/941s and state wage & hour laws

  • Understand the basics of data manipulation in Google Sheets or Excel

  • Experience with Paylocity

  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)
