Lead Front-End Developer

MERGE is a creative and technology-driven company partnering with leading clients in healthcare, life sciences, and consumer products. They seek a Lead Front-End Developer skilled in React and Next.js to own projects, mentor developers, and deliver user-centric web solutions with performance and accessibility focus.

Skills

Expertise in React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
Strong familiarity with Tailwind CSS and modern CSS techniques.
Experience with headless CMS architectures and API consumption (GraphQL/REST).
Proficiency in front-end build tools like Webpack and Vite.
Version control experience with Git.
Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Lead and own smaller-scale front-end projects from concept to deployment and support.
Collaborate with Technical Architects on larger enterprise projects.
Design and develop robust front-end solutions using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
Create responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces with Tailwind CSS.
Develop modular components leveraging component-based thinking and Storybook.
Work closely with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product managers.
Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and provide technical leadership.
Serve as client-facing technical expert to communicate solutions and manage inquiries.
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and collaborate with QA teams on quality deliverables.
Modernize legacy front-end systems and enhance existing processes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
