They are seeking a Software Engineer II specializing in Data Engineering to design and optimize scalable data infrastructure, mentor team members, and contribute to a cutting-edge ML-based advertising platform.

Skills

Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, C#, Go, C++, or Python
Strong SQL knowledge and experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
Experience with computer systems architecture, operating systems, or distributed systems
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Solid understanding of programming fundamentals, testing, algorithms, and data structures
Experience with system design and development
Knowledge of data modeling, analytics, management, or big data processing/MapReduce
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

Design and develop complex data pipelines and ETL processes for big data management
Optimize cost efficiency of data pipelines, storage, and databases
Implement data quality and governance practices to ensure accuracy and compliance
Enhance system scalability, availability, and performance
Develop internal tools to boost developer productivity and system efficiency
Collaborate cross-functionally with Infra, ML, Data Science, Analytics, and production teams
Mentor teammates and lead high-impact projects

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
