The Morningstar Direct Platform Marketing team is one of the largest business units that strive to give clients access to the data, analytics, and tools that help financial professionals be more efficient, innovative, and connect with their clients in a more meaningful way.The Team: The marketing team is a dynamic group of modern marketing professionals working together in a cross functional capacity in a central and decentral model. The campaign, account-based, field, customer, and global marketing generalists will report into the Senior Director. This role will need to partner and drive results through deep collaboration with the sales development, product marketing, strategic account marketing, design, brand, content, experiential, operations, digital, media, and sales teams.The Role: We are looking for an experienced leader to assume overall responsibility for global demand for the Direct Platform business and to ensure the success of an integrated team. In this role, you will be the senior marketing executive responsible for strategy and execution. This role reports to the Head of Marketing for the business and you will have team members and direct reports all over the globe.This position is in our Chicago office, and we follow a hybrid policy in which onsite work is required at least 3 days per week.Responsibilities:Lead and Develop a High Performing Team: Coach, develop and mentor a team of professionals with a test, learn, iterate mindset. You will need to assess skill, coachability, and engagement across the teams and implement plans where needed to optimize. Build Bridges: This role must have strong communication and storytelling skills to help meet other teams and leaders where they are on their journey of understanding demand generation, and how it can help their part of the business meet their goals and objectives. Drive influence and collaboration across teams: Inspire cross functional partners to take action to help mutually amplify and leverage the skills that each discipline that participates in the campaign manufacturing and optimization process across all marketing and sales teams. Data Driven: Maniacal about measuring impact, using data to drive decisions, implement improvement, drive strategy, alignment, and deciding where to invest the next dollar. Develop and execute a global, multi-channel demand generation strategy that aligns with overall business objectives and drives pipeline and revenue growth. Manage a budget that to be used across digital and events to support this strategy and achieve the financial goals set by the business. Functional Expertise Across all Demand Generation Disciplines: This role needs to execute best practices across campaign, account-based, field, customer, and generalist marketing, and how these disciplines should work together to optimize campaign impact.Requirements :15+ years of global marketing experience in the financial services industry with budget and resource management responsibilities. 5-10+ years of demand or digital marketing experience. Proven track record developing and implementing marketing programs. Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, marketing automation, and CRM systems Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Significant experience working with dynamic global teams. Bachelor's degree; MBA or other advanced degree/accreditation nice to have.001_MstarInc Morningstar Inc.
