Associate Software Engineer, Simulation Infrastructure

Motional, a leader in autonomous vehicle technology formed as a joint venture between Hyundai Motor Group and Aptiv, is seeking an Associate Software Engineer for their Simulation Infrastructure team. The role involves developing and maintaining offboard testing pipelines, working with simulation cloud and hardware infrastructure, and supporting reliable AV software releases.

Skills

Proficiency in Python programming
Experience with data analysis and interfacing with databases like SQL, Postgres, Trino
Familiarity with C++ programming
Experience working within Linux environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in cross-functional development teams

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain offboard testing and simulation accessibility
Ensure testing simulations accurately represent real-world conditions
Work on infrastructure supporting cloud and hardware-in-the-loop simulations
Collaborate with Autonomy and Infrastructure teams to meet cross-functional requirements
Support safe and reliable software releases on public roads

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mechatronics (with Software option)
