About the role
The Clinical Excellence Captain is responsible for the successful onboarding and training of new Optometrists and remediation efforts within their assigned area. A new Optometrist would include doctors hired externally, graduate doctors, doctors by integration or by internal transition or transfer. In addition, the Clinical Excellence Captain will maintain elevated clinical care in a well-run, high performing office. This role will report to the Market Clinical Manager, the duties of onboarding and training new Optometrists will be conducted on an as instructed/as needed basis by the Manager.

You Will

  • Be Responsible for executing the required onboarding and training plans for new Optometrists and remediation efforts as assigned.
  • Follow and implement custom training agendas and training materials while onboarding new Optometrists, to include any required follow-up post training period.
  • Responsible for completing the required training and onboarding completion tracking form.
  • Be an exemplary role model of professionalism and leadership.
  • Foster a welcoming and engaging environment.
  • Conduct initial assessments and analysis in your specified area of expertise to identify performance, skill, and knowledge gaps. Provide additional training and feedback to improve performance.
  • Uphold and embody clinical ethics, values, and standards to elevate our profession and MyEyeDr.’s position in the market locally and nationally.
  • Maintain direct patient care responsibilities in primary office location each week.

About You

  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D. degree)
  • 3+ years clinical experience within a similar organization, including proven strength as a practicing OD in a high-volume, high-performing office location.
  • Experience in practice of both medical and routine/optical aspects of optometry.
  • Proven exemplary performance in achieving company goals in a team environment, e.g., Key Patient Indicators (KPIs) and positive patient surveys.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 4 days per week.
  • Occasional participation after hours may be required to attend meetings or events.
