NationSwell’s Institutional Membership (IM) is an invitation-only program for leading companies, philanthropies and investment firms, designed to help leaders take their work in social impact, sustainability, philanthropy and purpose-driven culture to the next level.

By providing corporate, philanthropy, and nonprofit leaders with the experiences, expert insights, connections, strategic advice, and best practices they need, we accelerate their progress and help shape the fields of which we are a part.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Social impact professional with a strong senior-level presence, a passion for servicing leaders and fostering connection and community, and a business development track record to help lead the experience and impact of our Member community. 

The Opportunity:

The VP, Member Community will grow and continue developing the program for our Membership Community, ensuring a best-in-class experience for leaders at the most influential and ambitious companies. You will provide account leadership for a portfolio of members, driving renewals as well as hitting new business goals, while simultaneously managing our Member engagement strategy and member experience. Fundamental to your success will be understanding the true needs of social impact professionals at large companies, providing high value thought-partnership and account oversight, tapping your existing network, and building new relationships.  

The salary for this position is $150,000-$175,000 base plus uncapped commission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Membership Renewals and Growth 
    • Serve as an Executive Sponsor, in collaboration with our Servicing professionals, across a portfolio of member accounts to provide thought-partnership, deep value, impact, and lasting and authentic relationships.
    • Contribute directly to member retention, growth, cross-sells, and NPS of our Institutional Membership.
    • Build demand and recruit new members to the IM community – and contribute directly to new member growth.

  • Drive Best-in-Class Member Experience
    • Work strategically with the Chief Social Impact Officer and other team members to design and refine member experience. 
    • Contribute to developing  a robust strategy for NationSwell’s programming, ensuring all offerings tie back to member needs, impact goals, NPS, and retention.
    • Act as an ambassador at conferences and events, staying up to date on industry trends and acting as a conduit for shifting partner priorities or needs.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration & Leadership
    • Serve as a member of the company’s Extended Leadership Team, providing insights, recommendations and thought-partnership on the company’s strategy and practices. 
    • People management responsibilities may be assigned as needed. 
    • Play a key role in ensuring that NationSwell achieves its goals and continues to evolve into a best-in class, high functioning, and cohesive team and organization.

  • At least 10 years of experience working in the corporate social impact or executive services industry
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new partnerships and retain business
  • Experience managing high-touch accounts and providing white-glove service
  • Track record of servicing and delivering value to C-suite account holders 
  • Extensive knowledge of Corporate Social Impact/ CSR levers, networks, leaders and frameworks, preferred
  • Strong business acumen, creative mindset, and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
  • Aligned with our values of service, impact and collaboration
