Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an EW Hardware Responsible Engineer/Principal EW Hardware Responsible Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Melbourne, FL.
**This position may be filled by either at the EW Hardware Responsible Engineer level OR at the Principal EW Hardware Responsible Engineer level based on the qualifications listed.**
Roles and Responsibilities:
Learning about the Electronic Warfare System and become intimately familiar with the systems hardware and integration.
Work closely with supporting teams of the overall supplier management team (SMT) and potentially working directly with the hardware suppliers and subcontracts.
Demonstrate technical understanding in the field of RF spectrum operations as well as knowledge of other related disciplines.
Frequently collaborate with technical leadership on system requirements generation and associated flow down, subsystem design/analysis, and subsystem performance verification including lab and range testing.
Support any stage of the aircraft system life cycle activity such as preliminary design studies, primary design analysis, and integrated system design analysis.
Required to support hardware integration, airworthiness activity, and testing of the system.
Attend internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates.
Basic Qualifications:
EW Hardware Responsible Engineer (T02):
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 2 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. (STEM) AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
Knowledge of Electronic Warfare and/or Electromagnetic principles
Effectively demonstrate understanding of fundamental RF principles
Basic Qualifications:
Principal EW Hardware Responsible Engineer (T03):
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 5 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 3 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. (STEM) AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.

Preferred Qualifications:
Background in RADAR
Background/experience in Systems Engineering
Excellent communication skills for both in-person and written content
Outstanding problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Demonstrated history of personnel development and successful team engagement
Experience engaging directly with internal and external technical and programmatic representatives
Interest in and track record of providing successful mentorship
