What You’ll Get To Do:
This position is a dual-hat position requiring the candidate to perform functional management activities as well as program responsibilities. It is expected that the Functional management role will comprise up to 20% of the candidate's time. The candidate will have 80% technical responsibilities: supporting SDS programs as an engineer within their same function. Candidate will act across multiple organizations to drive execution.
As a Functional Manager, you will be required to provide a wide range of people leadership/mentoring activities and foster a culture that allows employees to learn and grow. You will facilitate and execute the performance management cycle for your direct reports. This includes setting goals, mid and end-of-year reviews as well as performance evaluations and compensation. This role will also require you to mentor your direct reports and be their first line of contact for career growth, training, and certifications funding, stretch assignments, etc.
Essential Functions you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Manages and guides direct report annual goals, performance evaluations and compensations reviews.
Ensures accurate time charging and timecard approvals.

Helps identify stretch assignments and opportunities - Works as the integration lead for all elements across the weapon system that interact with LGC Specific Hardware.
As a Technical Manager (Flight Systems Missile IA&T Manager) you will be required to support the Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Integration, Assembly, Test and Checkout (IAT&C) Segment to clearly identify and focus on ground and flight test requirements, development, interface design, testability, verification, and validation. The Flight Systems Missile IAT&C Manager will be responsible for the overall test and checkout and delivery of the missile to include requirements, test planning, test execution of all Ground Test and Flight Test Missiles and Product Support Equipment required to execute. To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate must be a driver and leader for collaboration across many different sub-IPT teams for a successful integration, test, and checkout of the missile buildup.
Essential Functions you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Integration, Assembly, Test and Checkout – Responsible for the overall test and checkout and delivery of the missile to include requirements, test planning, test execution of all Ground Test and Flight Test Missiles and Product Support Equipment required to execute.
Lead the test execution team in the development of test plan and procedure documentation, assembly, and checkout procedures, and be the primary point of contact for coordination with the System Test Team for system level test execution.
Support Equipment Design – Responsible to serve as technical expert for electrical and mechanical support equipment design to include Electronic Ground Support Equipment, hardware working stands, lift fixtures, cooling systems, electrical interfaces, cable design, and similar equipment.
Customer Interface Management – Will be a primary point of contact for internal and USG customer interaction and coordination and a representative of the flight systems test

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors Degree; 4 years with a Masters.
US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
At least 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
Experience supporting US Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline and 10 years’ experience, or Master’s and 8 years’ experience, supporting US Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries.
Previous ICBM Experience is a plus.
Knowledge and experience using CAMEO and/or Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Principles.
Experience using DOORS Requirements Management Database.
Experience with Agile.
Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal.
Knowledge of system integration and test principles and test plan development at any level of build (unit, sub-system, system, etc.).
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a formal lead/management position, leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either a project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager.

Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
