Institute For Digital Molecular Analytics & Science (IDMxS) is a unique interdisciplinary Research Centre of Excellence (RCE), funded by National Research Foundation, Ministry of Education (Singapore), Nanyang Technological University and National University of Singapore. Hosted by NTU, IDMxS is focused on development of core science to drive a paradigm shift in molecular detection and analysis to link the biomolecular world of life with the networked world of technology.
We are currently recruiting a Research Fellow who will be working closely with Prof Guillermo Bazan as part of a large interdisciplinary team.
Key Requirements:
Lead research projects and studies to synthesize novel COE antibiotics and work with microbiologist to understand the structure-activity-relationship
Synthesize COE antibiotics
Understand Structural-Activity-Relationship of the COE antibiotics
Carry out pharmacological studies with collaborators
Job Requirements:
PhD in polymer chemistry, organic chemistry, material science or a closely related field
Expertise in polymer synthesis and organic synthesis
Expertise in material characterization techniques, including NMR, FTIR, GPC, AFM, DLS, DSC, TEM/SEM, UV-vis, and fluorescence spectroscopy
Experience with nanoparticle formulation or polymer self-assembly
Experience with developing conjugated polymers/oligomers
Experience with developing polymers for biological/pharmacological applications
Evidence of research in a multi-disciplinary collaborative environment
Experience with air-free manipulation and synthesis
