Public Outreach Specialist II - Roadways Projects Communications Manager

O2EPCM, Inc. is an award-winning firm providing consulting and management services for the planning, design, engineering, and construction industries. They seek a Public Outreach Specialist II to manage communications for the Roadways Projects at LAX, develop and implement communication strategies, and engage diverse stakeholders to ensure project transparency and success.

Skills

Proficient with CMS, email marketing tools, social media platforms, MS Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Experienced in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Drupal, and Benchmark email marketing.
Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environments.
Experience working with diverse communities, agencies, and media outlets.

Responsibilities

Monitor and report on issues, complaints, and project activities related to roadway projects.
Provide strategic communications support and execute stakeholder engagement plans.
Draft presentations, notifications, traffic advisories, and press releases.
Manage website and social media content ensuring timely updates and engagement.
Develop and distribute FAQs and fact sheets.
Coordinate media events, press tours, and community outreach initiatives.
Collaborate with contractors on communication protocols.
Maintain detailed records of all public communications and organize outreach events.
Support LAWA team in connecting with local businesses, communities, and the public.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Planning, Journalism, Marketing, or related fields.
