The Global Enablement (GET) team

The Global Enablement Team (GET) focuses on aligning people, processes, and priorities with relevant learning, coaching, and communication delivered at the right time. This role is instrumental in equipping our channel partners with the knowledge, skills, and tools they need to promote and implement Okta’s solutions successfully. The Learning Experience Design team is an integral part of GET, responsible for designing and developing learning curriculum content for the Okta sales organization. This team collaborates closely with other GET teams to deliver sales training programs and resources that empower Okta sales employees and Partners to succeed. 

The Curriculum Developer, Partner Content opportunity 

Reporting to the Manager of Enablement Learning Experience, the Curriculum Developer, Partner Content will play a key role in empowering our channel partners specifically. You will design, develop, and deliver innovative learning programs that equip partners with the skills, knowledge, and tools to effectively promote and implement Okta’s solutions. Through a combination of expertise in curriculum development, instructional design, and channel ecosystems, this position is integral to driving partner success and supporting Okta’s growth.

*This role requires in-person onboarding and travel to our San Francisco, CA HQ office during the first week of employment. 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Design & Develop Learning Content: Define, design, and develop innovative, learner-centered training programs and materials that cater to a diverse range of partner audiences. Deliver in multiple modalities, including synchronous remote learning, blended classroom formats, interactive e-learning modules, videos, job aids, facilitator guides, and more. Ensure that all content is engaging, interactive, and meets the learning objectives.
  • Partner-Focused Accreditation & Certification Programs: Create scalable, partner-focused accreditation and certification programs that drive knowledge, competence, and business outcomes. Continuously evolve these programs to meet the changing needs of the partner ecosystem and ensure they align with Okta’s business goals and partner strategy.
  • Strategic Collaboration Across Stakeholders: Engage with cross-functional teams, including partner enablement, sales, product, and marketing, to align learning content with business objectives and partner needs. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that training programs are relevant, timely, and impactful.
  • Build & Maintain Learning Libraries: Build and maintain a comprehensive library of learning content that partners can access on-demand. Leverage existing technologies to deliver learning experiences at scale, ensuring the content remains up-to-date and relevant.
  • Identify Learning Gaps & Innovate Solutions: Analyze the current state of partner enablement resources and identify any gaps in training or knowledge. Develop new programs and materials to address these gaps, ensuring that partners are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Measure Impact & Effectiveness: Establish clear metrics for measuring the success of enablement programs. Analyze learner engagement, retention, and performance to continuously improve and iterate on training materials and delivery methods. Ensure initiatives tie directly to business outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement & Global Scalability: Lead the ongoing assessment of partner enablement needs, continuously enhancing training programs. Ensure that training solutions are scalable across global regions and adaptable to various partner personas and market segments.

What you’ll bring to the role & what we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in enablement, instructional design, or training development, with a focus on Partner-related content
  • Proven track record of designing and developing learning content for partner organizations, with a strong emphasis on accreditation and certification programs
  • Extensive experience in designing engaging learning experiences across multiple modalities, including eLearning, instructor-led training, and blended approaches
  • Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including partner enablement, sales, product, and marketing teams, to ensure alignment between training initiatives and business priorities
  • Expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design best practices, and the ability to translate complex concepts into effective, learner-centered training programs
  • Familiarity with partner sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, Force Management, Winning by Design, Challenger, Sandler, BANT) is a plus
  • Proficiency in tools including Articulate Rise & Storyline 360, Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia or Adobe Premiere video design tools, and Google Suite
  • Strong communication and editing skills with the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise, and compelling content
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Additional experience that we value 

  • Experience developing learning solutions for a global, matrixed organization with diverse partner personas, use cases, and industries
  • Knowledge of performance metrics and ROI measurement techniques for learning and development programs
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Familiarity with Okta’s solutions or Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts
  • Experience in creating learning experiences for international audiences, adapting content for different cultures and regions

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:
$114,000$172,000 USD
