Our client is a D2C brand specializing in premium accessory organizers, with a growing presence in the USA, Canada, Europe, and Asia. The business has scaled to $7m in annual revenue in 4 years and has ambitious plans to 4X that growth over the next five years. 

ROLE 

They are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee inventory control and streamline our order fulfillment process across all markets and sales channels. This role will be pivotal in optimizing our supply chain operations by ensuring accurate inventory management, creating sales forecasts, and maintaining effective communication with suppliers and internal teams. The ideal candidate will develop dashboards and scorecards to provide clear visibility into inventory status and supply chain performance, supporting strategic decision-making and promoting operational efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Manage Inventory Availability: Oversee inventory levels across all markets and sales channels to ensure optimal availability.
  • Streamline Order Fulfillment: Maintain and enhance the order fulfillment process for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop Inventory Management System: Create and update a comprehensive inventory management system for team-wide access,  including dashboards/scorecards to display real-time inventory status.
  • Forecast Sales and Inventory Needs: Analyze sales history, seasonal trends, and upcoming promotions to create accurate sales forecasts and order estimations.
  • Coordinate Supply Chain Operations: Maintain direct communication with suppliers, freight forwarders, 3PLs, warehouses, and Amazon to manage supply chain logistics effectively.
  • Control Lead Times: Monitor production and shipping lead times for all purchase orders and transfer orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage Purchase Orders: Place new purchase orders, control payments, and ensure that all orders align with inventory needs and financial guidelines.
  • Identify Cost Savings Initiatives: Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs throughout the supply chain while maintaining quality and service levels.
  • Collaborate with Marketing: Work closely with the Brand & Marketing Management team to identify strategies for liquidating excess inventory, alerting them to low stock levels, and recommending products for promotions based on inventory availability.
  • Maintain Supply Chain Scorecards: Develop and maintain scorecards that provide insights into supply chain performance for executive leadership.
  • Support Financial Analysis: Assist with COGS/MOGS calculations and provide key insights for analysis to support decision-making.

  • Financial Analysis: Provide accurate COGS/MOGS calculations and key insights for strategic initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive enhancements in supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Proven 5+ years experience in supply chain management or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with 3PL services is highly preferred
  • Must have current or prior experience managing inventory for an e-commerce company
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and data analysis tools
  • Experience working with freight forwarders and various suppliers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities
