Staff Software Engineer - Ad Tech

PatientPoint is a leading digital health company focused on empowering better health by connecting patients, healthcare providers, and life sciences companies. They seek a Staff Software Engineer to design and implement scalable software platforms, with expertise in backend development, cloud-native architecture, and production-grade code to build their next-generation unified platform.

Skills

Expertise with Python 3 for backend software development
Experience with Elasticsearch or similar cloud-native search technologies
Proficient in designing cloud-native architectures and infrastructure as code
Strong skills in relational databases and writing optimized SQL queries
Familiarity with cloud platforms, AWS preferred
Knowledge of observability tools and performance monitoring platforms
Understanding of containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker, Amazon ECS, and Kubernetes
Knowledge of cloud security concepts and protocols like OAuth2, JWT, HMAC

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain robust backend systems and APIs deployed in AWS across multiple technical domains
Develop scalable, high-performance solutions adhering to modern software design principles
Contribute to architectural discussions and implement clean, reusable solutions
Ensure stability, performance, and scalability of core platform services and APIs
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as planning, retrospectives, and story grooming
Conduct thorough code reviews and contribute to continuous code quality improvements
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, DevOps, and Security teams
Mentor peers and junior engineers through collaboration and knowledge sharing

Education

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (implied)
Advanced technical knowledge and experience in backend software engineering
