Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails) - Remote

PayNearMe has over 200 employees, closed a $45M Series D round in June 2023, and is processing over $1B in payments monthly. We’re headquartered in Silicon Valley with our employees distributed all across the U.S. Help us solve our clients’ biggest payment problems.

We’re in growth mode and looking to add a dynamic Software Engineer to our PayNearMe team, reporting to the Director of Engineering for our CSE team. Help us reimagine payments!

• Develop code against Rails 6.1
• Build reusable tasks to reduce the flow of engineering work from support
• Build maintainable ISVs to connect our systems to third parties
• Add critical features to our APIs
• Assist onboarding of new clients and help solve escalations
• Be instrumental in building the next generation of internal tools and services
• Write specs for automated coverage of your code. (We have over 95% coverage)
• Code review other developers' changes as they will review yours

• Team player, good communication and kindness are a must
• Be able to explain technical challenges to non technical coworkers
• Adaptive and agile to changing priorities
• 2-5+ years experience in Ruby on Rails + MySQL
• Resilience in tracking down bugs
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Familiarity with using AI productivity tools

Salary Range: $125,000 - 150,000
