Mid-Level .NET Developer

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Mid-level .NET Developer to join our team in a dynamic hybrid role. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in .NET development, database management, and web services to build and maintain robust applications.

 

Onboarding: Includes a comprehensive 6-week orientation program to ensure familiarity with the technology stack, tools, and project expectations.

Work Environment: Hybrid in Boston, MA with onsite collaboration as required by the project.

Day to Day Roles and Responsibilities:

• Application Development:

  • Develop, test, and maintain software applications using .NET Framework 4.8, ASP.NET, C#, and VB.NET.

  • Build and manage Windows Services to support business operations.

• Database Management:

  • Design and maintain SQL Server databases, including data modeling and performance tuning.

  • Implement stored procedures, triggers, and use SSRS for reporting.

• Front-End Development:

  • Create responsive interfaces using Web Forms, JavaScript, and AJAX Toolkit.

  • Ensure smooth integration between front-end and back-end systems.

• Reporting & Analytics:

  • Use SSRS to build and manage reports aligned with business needs.

  • Deliver reporting solutions that provide actionable insights.

• Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting:

  • Conduct code reviews and resolve application issues promptly.

  • Maintain performance, security, and code quality.

• Collaboration:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience or an Associates degree and 7 years of experience or a High School diploma and 9 years of experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder). 

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on teamwork and clarity.

• Analytical and detail-oriented approach to problem solving with a proactive mindset.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in .NET application development, SQL Server-based data solutions, and web technologies.

• Strong experience with .NET Framework 4.8, ASP.NET, VB.NET, and C#, including development of Web Forms and Windows Services.

• Solid understanding of SQL Server, including database design, stored procedures, and triggers.

• Proven ability to design and develop reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

• Competence in front-end scripting using JavaScript and the AJAX Toolkit.

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
