Physician - Family Medicine - Centreville

Luminis Health is seeking a Board-certified Family Medicine physician to provide comprehensive outpatient and primary care services in accordance with state and professional guidelines. The role involves patient education, coordination with specialists, maintaining licensure and CME, and participating in group on-call coverage.

Skills

Clinical diagnosis and treatment in family medicine
Patient counseling and preventive care
Ability to coordinate care with specialists
Familiarity with state medical regulations and board requirements
Comfort working with electronic medical records and standard clinical equipment

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive medical care and patient education appropriate to individual needs
Maintain current licensure, DEA registration, and required continuing medical education
Coordinate care and communicate treatment plans with other physicians and specialists
Participate in scheduled group call rotations and refer patients to specialists as needed
Follow established policies and procedures set by state and professional bodies (BPQA, AMA, HCFA, AAHS)

Education

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine
Active state medical license (Maryland)
DEA registration and any required controlled substance certification
