Graphics UI Programmer

Sony Interactive Entertainment's PlayStation Studios San Diego Studio is seeking a Graphics UI Programmer to develop optimized rendering pipelines and high-performance GPU shader solutions for the acclaimed MLB The Show franchise. The role involves collaboration with UI teams to enhance 2D animated UI systems within their custom game engine.

Skills

Proficiency in C++ programming
Experience with graphics APIs such as DirectX or OpenGL
Strong shader programming skills (compute, vertex, pixel)
Foundational math skills including linear algebra and geometry
Experience with Visual Studio and Perforce

Responsibilities

Collaborate with UI programming team to integrate optimized rendering pipelines for animated UI.
Develop and maintain GPU shader code including compute, vertex, and pixel shaders.
Implement new graphics features as requested by design and art teams.
Perform GPU performance analysis and address bottlenecks in animated 2D rendering.
Ensure scalable and performant rendering across multiple gaming platforms.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
