Your Mission
The Demand Marketing Manager, SMB will be responsible for developing and executing efficient marketing strategies that generate qualified leads and opportunities for our SMB sales team. This role sits at the intersection of sales and marketing and requires someone who thrives in cross-functional environments, understands the nuances of small to medium business growth, and knows how to build scalable, repeatable programs that convert.
We’re looking for someone with experience in SMB SaaS—ideally reaching and selling into smaller businesses that need help in the construction, distribution or similar industries—who can drive results while keeping a pulse on what resonates with small and mid-sized business buyers.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute the end-to-end SMB demand generation strategy to build a scalable, repeatable growth flywheel that creates a consistent pipeline for the SMB Sales team—and over time, supports self-serve conversion.
Align closely with SMB Sales on goals and conversion metrics, collaborating on campaign themes, lead handoff processes, and pipeline acceleration strategies.
Develop and run integrated campaigns across paid media, email, events, web, social, and partner channels—focusing on programs that can be optimized and scaled efficiently.
Build segmented nurture and engagement tracks that reflect the unique needs and buying behaviors of small business decision-makers, driving education, trust, and urgency.
Support outbound sales motions with marketing air cover, including compelling content, targeted landing pages, and outbound-friendly campaign assets.
Own funnel analytics and performance optimization, continuously improving programs based on ROI, velocity, and conversion benchmarks.
Collaborate with content, digital, and product marketing teams to develop messaging, assets, and playbooks tailored to the SMB audience and customer journey stages.
Identify friction points and opportunity gaps across the SMB lifecycle, from first touch to closed deal, and implement solutions that increase conversion and reduce time-to-value.
Maintain deep knowledge of SMB buyer behavior, market trends, and competitors in construction and field services to inform strategy and stay ahead of the curve.
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing, with at least 2 years focused on SMB demand generation or sales-led growth.
Experience working in or marketing to the construction, distribution, or trade services industry is strongly preferred.
Proven ability to build and optimize lead gen campaigns across multiple channels.
Strong collaboration skills and experience working cross-functionally with sales teams.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce) and marketing automation tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter with a bias for action and a passion for results.
