Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Inspections Field Supervisor to lead our team of Fire Alarm Inspectors and Technicians. This role is responsible for overseeing the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm and life safety systems while ensuring compliance with national and local codes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
-Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Fire Alarm Inspectors and Technicians.
-Ensure all inspections, testing, and repairs comply with NFPA 72 and local codes.
-Provide hands-on support with complex troubleshooting, programming, and service calls as needed.
-Train and mentor team members on inspection procedures, safety protocols, and technical best practices.
-Review inspection reports, work orders, and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
-Oversee timesheets, review completed work, and ensure all reports are properly documented.
-Track and manage deficiency reports, ensuring timely corrections and updates.
-Work closely with the Parts Department when necessary to coordinate supplies and materials.
-Coordinate scheduling, assign tasks, and monitor project progress to meet deadlines.
-Ensure proper use and maintenance of testing equipment, tools, and company vehicles.
-Enforce company policies, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
-Collaborate with management to improve inspection efficiency and address operational challenges.
Schedule & Working Conditions:
This role requires working in the office once a week to handle administrative duties and planning.
Exposure to various work environments, including commercial buildings and construction sites.
Requirements:
-5+ years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or Inspector, with supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
-NICET II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems (preferred).
-High School diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
-Strong understanding of NFPA 72 and fire alarm system inspection requirements.
-Experience with fire alarm system programming and troubleshooting.
-Ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
-Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
-Willingness to work on-call as needed.
-Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
