Frontend Engineer

Pump is a pioneering startup focused on simplifying AWS cost optimization using group buying and AI. They seek a skilled Frontend Engineer to contribute to their product and technical direction, working closely with the founding team in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

Skills

Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js)
Strong frontend architectural knowledge
Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Python backend frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask)
Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and cost/billing concepts
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes preferred)
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to work onsite full-time in a startup environment

Responsibilities

Build intuitive, performant, and scalable frontend interfaces
Contribute across the full stack with emphasis on frontend architecture and best practices
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and founders to ship quickly and iterate based on feedback
Define and execute the technical roadmap balancing innovation and technical debt
Improve and maintain development tools, processes, and workflows
Prototype rapidly while maintaining high quality and UX standards

Education

BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
