Job Description

The Red Gate Group is seeking a highly skilled Counter-Unmanned Systems (C-UXS) Policy Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations/Low Intensity Conflict (ASD SOLIC) in Arlington, VA. The mission of the Office of the ASD SOLIC is to conduct oversight of all DoD policies and plans related to special operations, with special emphasis on counterterrorism, information operations, irregular warfare, sensitive special operations, counter unmanned systems and other activities as specified by the Secretary of Defense.

In this critical role, you will provide expert guidance and strategic oversight on DoD policies and plans related to countering unmanned systems, irregular warfare, and other key operations. Your expertise will directly support high-level decision-making processes and ensure that U.S. Special Operations Command’s C-UXS campaigns are effectively aligned with Department-level strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop agendas, draft read-ahead materials, and summarize key meetings, including those at the 4-star and Under Secretary levels, to shape and guide global C-UXS campaigns.
  • Support SOLIC efforts to monitor and assess the progress of U.S. Special Operations Command’s C-UXS prior-to-launch campaigns globally and advise on changes to policy guidance, operational plans, and associated intelligence activities, as necessary.
  • Review and coordinate the development of irregular warfare concepts with senior DoD and interagency stakeholders, addressing policy and resource implications.
  • Integrate C-UXS plans with broader DoD and interagency initiatives, preparing essential documentation for senior leadership forums.

Qualifications

  • Seven (7) years of combined OSD, Joint Staff, Service or Combatant Command Headquarters experience.
  • Masters Degree 
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
