Join Red Hat’s OSPO as an Associate Program Manager and help support the team’s operational and program execution goals. We are looking for a reliable Associate Program Manager to support the OSPO Operations Manager with the management of the team’s day-to-day business with tasks like process improvement, data analysis, and project coordination. Working at the direction of the OSPO Operations Manager, you will collaborate with multiple team associates while being able to shift between the big picture and implementation details. You’ll also represent OSPO in crucial transactions with our finance and legal teams.
Responsibilities include performing administrative tasks, assisting other company departments as needed, and ensuring smooth daily operations. You also may be required to gather data from different sources, analyze it to help the company make informed decisions, as well as create reports and dashboards to visualize and communicate the data to other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and be comfortable with change and complexity, all while playing a pivotal operations role for a highly distributed team.
Collaborate with multiple team associates to manage cadence and tracking of plans, budgets, and metrics for the organization as a whole.
Help manage procurement processes on behalf of the team and Red Hat, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures while achieving timely results.
Introduce new ideas and processes as needed to improve team performance and productivity.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends and insights.
Assist with the planning, execution, and monitoring of operational projects.
Document and educate associates on departmental processes.
Prioritize and manage a queue of support tickets, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
Provide ad-hoc operational support within Red Hat engineering as needed.
What you will bring
Foundational knowledge of project management principles
Experience with or knowledge of procurement systems
Familiarity with open source foundations, project memberships, tools, and methods
Analytical skills - including the ability to collect, interpret, and visualize data for reporting
Strong time management skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to learning and adapting to a dynamic environment
Proficiency with Google Workspace or similar tooling
Familiarity with accounting methods
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
