About the Role
The Solutions Consultant is an expert in a specific industry or product set, assisting sales, professional services, product, and market planning teams with direct client interaction to advance the sales process. This role supports sales efforts by providing technical support, product knowledge, and deployment guidance through presentations, demonstrations, and design creation for professional services. The Solutions Consultant serves as an internal expert on product functionality and industry knowledge, answering questions and demonstrating product capabilities to ensure clients have a solid understanding of our offerings.
Responsibilities
Provide product and/or subject matter expertise to the sales team and client during the sales process, serving as an internal expert on product functionality, industry knowledge, answering questions, and demonstrating product capabilities.
Provide product and/or solution design input into bid proposals/RFPs when pulled in by the RFX team, projects, and high-level technical documents within the sales process, collaborating with the sales teams to develop and recommend platforms, products, and services to meet customer requirements. This includes workflows/process flows based on client needs and best practices.
Conduct client-facing presentations and demonstrations, ensuring that prospects leave the demo with a solid understanding of the services and/or products provided.
Identify additional sales opportunities with new and existing clients, positioning and upselling our products and platforms, and knowing how to apply our solutions to the needs of the market and our clients.
Be a trusted subject matter expert for our internal clients (sales, product), provide consultancy in what is best to solve a client or prospect issue, keeping internal clients up to date on best practices, industry trends, product updates, and enhancements.
Utilize technical solution design and development skills to support the customer rollout and integration for at least one delivery channel.
Maintain pulse of the market while accomplishing and supporting the goals of the General Consulting Organization (GCO).
Drive revenue through continuous education, consulting, and support of the sales organization.
Support and maintain the relationship between the sales, professional services, product, and senior management functions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Related Major, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or Information technology or equivalent
5-8 years of preferred industry experience. Sales, Pre/Post-Sales experience in Financial Crime Compliance industry is a plus.
Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time
Demonstrate consultative skills with the ability to collaborate and explore options, demonstrate and effectively use active listening skills to understand client needs.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to deliver client presentations. Must be able to translate and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to solve complex business problems
Relationship building skills and the ability to collaborate and interact effectively with internal and external clients
Solid time management skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests concurrently. Highly self-motivated.
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Aptitude to quickly understand and articulate LexisNexis Risk Solutions product set
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams proficiency required. Workflow diagramming experience (Visio, Lucid, SmartDraw or similar workflow software) required. CRM technology experience preferred. Some aptitude in software development for practical problem-solving as well as knowledge of APIs and server technologies such as Apache and MySQL, and data formats such as XML, JSON, and CSV will be needed for some products.

$86,000 – $105,000/annually
