Remilia Agency is the planned talent management and music label division of Remilia Corporation, focused on discovering, developing, and platforming emerging talent from underground electronic and alternative scenes. We work at the intersection of fashion, music, and digital culture, with a particular focus on indie/underground genres (e.g. hyperpop, alt, and adjacent genres). Our Agency creates a symbiotic relationship between visual style influencers and musical artists, cultivating a distinctive subcultural aesthetic across both visual and sonic domains.
We're seeking an Artist Relations/A&R Manager to serve as the vital bridge between Remilia Agency and our growing roster of artists. This role combines talent development, business relationship management, and creative guidance to help emerging artists thrive within our distinctive cultural ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have deep connections in emerging/underground music scenes and a natural understanding of how music careers develop in today's digital landscape.
Build and maintain genuine relationships with emerging artists in underground scenes
Identify promising talent aligned with Remilia's aesthetic vision
Guide artists' creative development and career trajectory
Provide constructive feedback on musical direction and output
Help artists navigate their creative evolution while maintaining authenticity
Structure and negotiate artist contracts and deals
Serve as the primary point of contact between artists and Remilia Agency
Develop individualized career plans for each signed artist
Track artist performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly
Manage expectations and timelines for releases and promotional activities
Work with our booking team to secure appropriate performance opportunities
Collaborate with digital marketing team on artist promotion strategies
Coordinate with event production for artist showcases
Interface with other Remilia divisions to create cross-promotional opportunities
Communicate artist needs and priorities to the wider Remilia team
Represent Remilia Agency at relevant industry events and underground gatherings
Stay current on emerging trends in electronic music and digital culture
Identify strategic partnerships that enhance Remilia's position in music communities
Build Remilia Agency's reputation as a supportive home for developing artists
Translate Remilia's aesthetic philosophy to musical talent and industry partners
Number and quality of artists signed
Revenue generated by managed artists
Growth in artist metrics (followers, streams, bookings)
Artist retention and satisfaction
Development of Remilia's reputation in the music community
3-7 years experience in music industry with direct artist management experience
Deep knowledge of underground electronic music, especially hyperpop, breakcore, and adjacent genres
Proven ability to identify and develop emerging musical talent
Strong understanding of how music careers develop through digital platforms
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Experience negotiating and structuring artist agreements
Familiarity with U.S., UK, and Asian underground music scenes
Personal involvement in relevant music communities
Experience with festival/event booking or production
Understanding of streaming platforms, digital distribution, and music promotion
Background in independent label operations or artist management companies
Ideal candidates will have experience in at least 2-3 of these areas:
Artist Management: Direct experience managing emerging electronic artists
A&R at Independent Label: Experience identifying and developing talent
Festival/Event Booking: Understanding of live performance ecosystem
Digital Platform Management: Knowledge of streaming, social, and content strategies
Underground Scene Participation: Personal involvement in relevant music communities

This position is primarily remote with regular presence required at our Irvine, California headquarters and at key performances/events.
Base salary: $70,000-$90,000 depending on experience
Phantom stock: 0.25-0.5% with performance accelerators based on artist success
Potential commission structure on revenue from directly signed and developed artists
