Remote Licensed Therapist, Part-Time, California

Meru Health is a digital mental health clinic delivering a 12-week evidence-based program that combines licensed therapist support with mindfulness, biofeedback, nutritional psychiatry, and digital tools. They are hiring licensed California therapists (LMFT, LPCC, LPC, LCSW) to provide brief intake sessions, ongoing asynchronous chat support, and clinical documentation within a collaborative, tech-enabled care team.

Skills

Full independent CA licensure (LMFT, LPCC, LPC, LCSW).
3+ years post-licensure experience treating adults with depression, anxiety, stress, or burnout.
Training and practical experience in CBT and mindfulness-based interventions.
Comfort using telehealth platforms (Zoom) and secure clinical chat tools.
Strong clinical documentation and assessment skills aligned with regulatory standards.
Cultural competence and ability to work sensitively with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

Conduct 40–50 minute intake assessments and periodic brief program check-ins via Zoom.
Provide weekly secure clinical chat support to participants (approx. 10–15 minutes per participant per week).
Monitor and track participant progress on the digital platform and maintain clinical documentation aligned with legal and ethical standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary care team, participate in case consultation, and give feedback to improve clinical tools and outcomes.
Attend regular clinical meetings, CEU webinars, and community consultation sessions as scheduled.

Education

Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy.
Full, independent licensure in California (LMFT, LPCC, LPC, or LCSW).
Ongoing CEUs or equivalent clinical training in evidence-based therapies (CBT, mindfulness).
