Accounts Payable Specialist

We're hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist who is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and corresponding payments. This position will also handle the management of vendor relationships, accounts, and payment terms.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Process a high volume of invoices accurately, verify details, and ensure proper GL coding. 
• Maintain vendor relationships by responding to inquiries regarding invoice status. 
• Reconcile vendor statements against accounting system and internal records. 
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies found in both invoices and statements. 
• Follow, manage, and maintain the invoice approval process including workflows. 
• Review vendor payment terms, collect W-9 tax forms, and manage vendor portals. 
• Assist senior staff with excise tax filings, 1099 forms completion, and other A/P related tasks. 
• Perform other accounting related duties and projects assigned by management.

Requirements

• Associates degree in accounting or a related field preferred. 
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable. 
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail. 
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks, particularly the payable module is a plus. 
• Excellent time management and organizational skills. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
