Research Associate - Custom Solutions and Services

What You'll Do


In this role, you will work as a member of the Quantitative Sciences (QS) department, primarily supporting the Custom Solutions and Services (CSS) team within the Client Solutions organization. This team provides custom real-world data and analytics solutions to address the most important research questions across clinical development, market access, and commercial use cases for our life sciences partners.


As part of CSS, you will:


  • Execute literature reviews and exploratory data analysis to inform study design & cross-functional decision-making
  • Working closely with study leads, lead development of high quality, readily interpretable internal and client-facing protocols and statistical analysis plans
  • Partner with statistical programmers to ensure accurate implementation of analyses in accordance with study plans
  • Interpret and summarize study findings in high quality, readily interpretable study reports, presentations, and other relevant client-facing deliverables, for review by study leads
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders across Quantitative Sciences, Research Oncology, Regulatory Affairs, and Life Science Partnerships to execute and deliver on projects in an accurate, effective, and timely manner
  • Adhere to all research publication, regulatory, and authorship standards (e,g. ICMJE, GPP4, ICH E3, ICH E6, ICH E9, HIPAA, GPP and GCP) and comply with internal processes
  • Contribute to client-facing meetings
  • Consult with Medical Writing to identify scientific content requiring standardization and contribute to efforts to develop and enhance templates for client-facing scientific writing deliverables
  • Continue to develop a deeper understanding of real-world data and related methodologies used to generate real-world evidence


Who You Are


You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who values the opportunity to think beyond the way things are. In addition, you’re an analytical thinker and excellent communicator with experience or interest in designing studies and analyzing real-world data (e.g., healthcare claims or electronic health records). You are excited by the prospect of rolling up your sleeves to tackle meaningful problems each and every day.


  • You hold a Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Health Policy (or closely related field) with 1 - 3 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 4 - 5 years of relevant experience
  • You are an excellent communicator, with experience drafting and developing complex, technical documentation
  • You are comfortable programming in R (or another programming language and are committed to developing your skill in R)
  • You have strong organizational, time-management, prioritization and decision-making skills necessary to evaluate, plan and implement multiple high-visibility projects in a timely fashion
  • You have the ability to work effectively in a constantly changing, diverse, and matrix environment
  • You are able to quickly learn and apply new information, skills and procedures
  • You are passionate about our mission to improve healthcare through technology


Extra credit


  • You have consulting experience within the healthcare domain
  • You have strong written and oral communication with direct scientific and regulatory writing experience (e.g., manuscripts, abstracts, posters, protocols, SAPs, CSRs, briefing books)
  • You have experience with real world data (e.g., healthcare claims or electronic health records)
  • You have oncology experience

Job Compensation Range


Salary Range: $112,050.00 - $157,950.00

Preferred Primary Location: NYC Headquarters

The annual pay range for this position is based on the preferred primary location of the role which is listed above.If you are applying to this role at a location that is not the preferred primary location, please keep in mind the salary range will vary and may fall outside of what is listed. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual bonus and equity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
