Senior Software Engineer - Mobile (React Native)

We are looking for a talented senior software engineer who is passionate about building high-quality, delightful mobile experiences. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining features in our React Native codebase that power our mobile applications.

River has raised more than $50 million from leading investors, including; Goldcrest, Kingsway, Polychain, M13, DG, and Valor.

What you will be doing

• Architect and develop new features in our React Native codebase.

• Collaborate with product management, design, and other engineers to plan and execute projects.

• Write high-quality, tested code following best practices.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge.

• Contribute to the engineering culture and help shape its future for years to come.

What we look for in you

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, focusing on mobile development.

• Strong proficiency in React Native and mobile development principles.

• Proficient in Swift/Objective-C and Java/Kotlin for native platforms.

• Ability to write reliable code and take ownership of your work.

• Solid understanding of web security fundamentals for mobile apps.

• Genuine interest in River's mission and a passion for technology.

Nice to haves

• Experience in the fintech industry.

• A design portfolio and an eye for good design; experience crafting delightful animations in RN.

• Experience with GitHub Actions, GCP, DataDog, Apollo Client for GraphQL, Figma, and Elixir.

• Experience working in a rapidly scaling company.

• Interest in Bitcoin.

Location & Salary

• 100% remote option available within the Americas and Europe, with offices in SF, NYC, and Columbus OH

• Salary range between $140,000 - $215,000 based on skills and experience
