Material Handler / Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift

• Operate a fork truck (PIV) in a safe and effective manner.
• Picking parts for a production order.
  • Select pick information from work order packet
  • Pick each item by identifying and verifying the item first
  • Pick to the quantity required, use of scale to count items is important
  • Counting accuracy is critical
  • Ensure the picked product and product that remains in location is protected
  • Move picked items to the staging area
• Verify another driver’s items, if required.
• Must be able to:
  • Read and follow work order instructions
  • Achieve expected pick rate while picking accurately
  • Count accurately, watch scales for variances, and scan properly
  • Understand flags, tags, and labels used to control material controls in the warehouse
  • Watch for faulty, damaged, or nicked materials or packages to ensure the Quality Policy and Objectives are being met 
  • Take action when a location is found to be empty or have the wrong item stored
  • Communicate with co-workers in a positive, business-like manner
  • Comply with all facility safety and work rules; including, but not limited to security requirements, completion of a job costing card (white card), and following proper procedures for accident/incident reporting, emergency evacuation, etc.
  • Demonstrate a professional manner.
  • Other Duties:
    • General housekeeping duties
    • Participate in required trainings and audits
    • Work in other areas as deemed necessary to meet business needs

*REGULAR SHIFT HOURS ARE 2:00 P.M. TO 10:00 P.M. / MON - FRI

*THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR A SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL.

• At least one (1) year of forklift experience is required.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time; shift duration 8 to 10 hours.
• Able to break down and restack items on a pallet as needed during the picking process.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis.
• Able to work weekend and overtime hours as needed.
• Accurate counting and basic math skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Must follow RR Donnelley safety guidelines.
• Must be able to hear warning bells or see warning lights.
• Must be free of any substance or medication which impairs judgment or reaction time per medical department guidelines.

Disclosure Statement:

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $17.00 to 20.50 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
