Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.This is an opportunity to join the High Energy Laser (HEL) business with Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) as an early in career Financial Analyst, Program Controls to support the Directed Energy Maneuver-Short Range Air Defense (DE M-SHORAD) Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Sustainment contract.As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing various analysis to ensure accurate reporting and early warning of issues. Analysis includes risks and opportunities, variances to plan and forecast. Other responsibilities include consolidating financial data for various reviews including the bi-weekly Risk & Opportunity (R&O) review for financial forecast, weekly/monthly customer meetings and various levels of internal leadership meetings. You will also be responsible for continuing to identify ways to improve processes and further levels of efficiency.The HEL finance position provides an excellent opportunity for someone to develop their Earned Value analysis skillset including reporting and participation in routine Earned Value reviews. This position also allows someone to continue to develop their Financial Planning & Analysis (FPA) skills at a program level. You must be able to work under deadlines and constraints, delivery on commitments, hold teams accountable, as well as have the ability to multitask across a variety of tasks.This position is being offered in an onsite capacity and is based on the needs of the business. The preferred candidate will work onsite at the McKinney, TX, Andover, MA, Dulles, VA or the El Segundo, CA location. The team/program require assistance to align with the Central U.S. time zone. Relocation assistance is not being provided.What You Wil Do:• Support program EVMS• Create and maintain EV artifacts including Control Account Documents, Secondary Work Authorizations, WBS Dictionary, Program Log, Integrated Program Management Report, and Responsibility Accountability Matrix• Development of EAC’s• Cost and Schedule reporting and analysis• Maintain accurate records for Budget and EAC tracking• Project setup and management• Utilize & share knowledge of the RTX Earned Value Management system process 10255 policy within the program teamQualifications You Must Have:• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field• Typically requires 2 years of related work experience• Experience with EVMS and/or EAC/ETC• Experience with budgeting and/or variance analysis• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirementsQualifications We Prefer:• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)• Demonstrate expertise in understanding disclosure statements and classifying tasks/activities by appropriate “color of money” – Direct, Overhead, Selling, Bid and Proposal (B&P), Internal Research and Development (IRAD), and Capital• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)• Strong communication/presentation skills: oral and written• Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment• Ability to work independently, as a team member, and with all levels of management• Demonstrate ability to collaborate in a team environment and lead teams to success• Demonstrate ability to be proactive, creative, innovative, and use critical and strategic thinking• Demonstrate a sense of urgency and ability to meet multiple commitments as expectedWhat We OfferOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
