Commercial Real Estate Analyst

Our New York office is seeking an ambitious and driven Senior Commercial Real Estate Analyst to join our dynamic team. You'll provide financial and analytical support, including data analysis, property valuation, and market research. Candidates will apply analytical, financial, and critical thinking to develop credit-based real estate solutions for expanding middle-market tenancies by assessing the quality of fee and leasehold profit centers. $65,000 - $75,000 a year
Responsibilities

-Perform detailed financial analyses, including market comparables, sensitivity analysis, and cash flow modeling for sale-leaseback and other transactions.
-Conduct in-depth market research to assess risks, opportunities, and demand in various real estate sectors.
-Support the preparation of first-class Offering Memoranda ("OM"), Confidential Investment Memorandums ("CIMs"), dispositions, and financial analyses for property sales.
-Analyze and evaluate tenant income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, leases, surveys, property condition reports, environmental reports, and other relevant documentation.
-Collaborate with brokers, senior analysts, and investment managers to structure and execute transactions, including sale-leaseback deals.
-Evaluate tenant creditworthiness through financial statement analysis and credit ratings.
-Assist in negotiations with tenants and landlords regarding lease terms and property valuations.
-Stay current on market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes impacting commercial real estate, middle-market investing, and corporate debt markets.
-Research and analyze market trends, comparable property transactions, and tenant financial health to assess investment viability.
-Evaluate lease structures and terms, advising on optimal strategies for both sale and leasing arrangements.
-Manage communication and negotiations with external stakeholders, including brokers, legal advisors, and property owners.

Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, or a related field, with a strong academic record.
-2-3 years of experience in financial modeling, real estate valuation, or investment analysis preferred.
-Advanced Excel skills, including experience with formulas, financial models, and data analysis.
-Ability to analyze and interpret leases, financial statements, and operating data.
-Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
-Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
-Strong work ethic, personal accountability, and an eagerness to contribute to team success.
