About the Role
We are looking for a data-driven Product Data Analyst Trainee to join our Digital Channels team. This role focuses on leveraging data to inform and optimize product decisions, ensuring our web and app platforms deliver outstanding customer experiences. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and an analytical background, helping the team with product discovery, business case development, A/B testing, and the continuous monitoring of key features through dashboards and reporting tools.
Main Responsibilities
- User interaction Analysis: Support in analyzing web and app usage data to uncover trends, user behavior, and opportunities for product improvement.
- Product Discovery Support: Collaborate with Product Managers during the discovery phase by providing insights from data to identify customer needs and validate opportunities.
- Business Case Development: Contribute to the development of business cases by providing data-driven insights and projections to evaluate potential product initiatives.
- Success Metrics Definition: Partner with stakeholders to define and track key success metrics for new features and initiatives. Map and define tracking events for key product metrics (GA4 tagging).
- A/B Testing: Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests to validate hypotheses, measure impact, and optimize product performance.
- Dashboard Creation: Help to develop and maintain dashboards for continuous monitoring of key features, ensuring stakeholders have real-time insights into performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Marketing teams to ensure data-driven decision-making throughout the product lifecycle.
- GA4 Optimization: Help to ensure best practices are followed on GA4 to maintain consistency between different conversion funnels
Profile Needed
- Experience: Demonstrate interest in data analytics and digital products.
- Analytics Expertise: Basic understanding of Google Analytics (GA4 key features), and of other analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker Studio, Power BI).
- Data Storytelling: Ability to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights and present findings effectively to stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical mindset with a focus on solving complex problems using data.
- A/B Testing: Experience designing and interpreting A/B tests to evaluate product hypotheses and feature performance.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Economics, Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with SQL, Python or R for data analysis is a plus. A basic knowledge or interest of how websites and apps are built (e.g. HTML, CSS, JS) is also valued.
