The IT Project Coordinator is responsible supporting the project managers and delivery teams by overseeing administrative tasks, ensuring resource availability, and maintaining communication with stakeholders. This position will have a variety of project support responsibilities including tracking, updating, and reporting on project progress.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication, including status reports, risk assessments, and issue resolution
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and define business requirements and processes, ensuring IT solutions meet business operational needs
  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks
  • Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle, and confer with project staff to outline a work plan
  • Ability to plan, track and document various project information including requirements documentation, business rules, project milestones, issues, risks and action items
  • Support project delivery by scheduling and coordinating meetings, documenting action items, and ensuring timely follow-ups
  • Organizes, documents, tracks, and manages all project deliverables and activities, helping to keep the teams on task and on schedule.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including managing project timelines, maintaining documentation, and following up on outstanding items

 

Work Environment: This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid schedule with the expectation of 3 days per week in our Chicago office, and 2 days remote from home.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions in the organization
  • Organizational skill and an attention to detail in coordinating and prioritizing activities with projects and operations and re-prioritizing as needed.
  • Critical and analytical thinking in conducting research and analysis and providing appropriate recommendations based on findings.
  • Skilled at creating business requirements documents, use cases, user acceptance test plans, process flow and data flow diagrams
  • Ability to adapt to new circumstances in a changing business environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and accepts ownership and accountability for success
  • Familiarity with project management tools

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field (or equivalent work experience).
