About Us:
Our mission is to eliminate the threat of wildfires across 500 million acres in the U.S. and allied nations. We’re building advanced technology that supports firefighters in the field—especially in use cases that were previously unsafe, inefficient, or impossible. Our founding team is comprised of seasoned fire professionals and technology entrepreneurs who have built companies worth billions of dollars.
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and curious college or graduate-level intern to join our team for the summer. As part of our internship program, you will take ownership of an 8-week project focused on designing, building, and testing key components of our system. This is a hands-on opportunity to make real contributions to our technology while gaining exposure to the full product development lifecycle.
You’ll work cross-functionally with engineers and team members from various disciplines, gaining insight into how different parts of the system come together. At the end of the program, you’ll present your findings and demonstrate your work to the broader team.
Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
Proficiency in Python and additional programming languages
Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills
Experience with robotics systems and/or embedded software
Preferred (but not required): Academic or professional experience with UAVs/aviation and/or building autonomous systems and AI-driven applications
Don’t meet every single requirement? If you're excited about this role but your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification, we encourage you to apply — you may still be the right fit for our team.
Benefits:
Paid Position – Compensation reflective of your skills and experience
Mentorship – You'll be guided by an experienced engineer who runs our internship program and paired with a dedicated manager/coach throughout the summer
Collaborative Team Environment – Join a cohort of engineering interns and work alongside them on meaningful, hands-on projects
