Senior Application Developer & Data Engineer System

Cook Systems, a veteran-owned IT consulting firm, seeks a Senior Application Developer & Data Engineer to design and implement applications and data pipelines supporting state agencies, emphasizing innovation, collaboration, and career growth in a flexible and supportive environment.

Skills

Proficiency with MuleSoft APIs and Azure Data Factory.
Experience with GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer services and cloud ETL tools.
Strong application development and data engineering skills.
Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
Data modeling and scalable data pipeline architecture.
System integration and troubleshooting expertise.
Ability to produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Customer support and issue resolution capabilities.
Knowledge of data quality, governance, and compliance standards.
Mentorship and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement applications using MuleSoft APIs, Azure Data Factory, GoAnywhere MFT, and cloud ETL services.
Participate in all phases of the SDLC including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
Create robust data models and ensure effective system integration.
Develop and enhance application software and perform thorough testing and debugging.
Field and resolve customer tickets and support issues.
Implement data quality checks and contribute to data governance policies.
Support project management activities and collaborate with stakeholders.
Monitor system performance and provide ongoing maintenance.
Create and maintain documentation for applications and systems.
Ensure compliance with state policies and regulations.
Mentor junior developers and foster a collaborative environment.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
