This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Developer in the United States.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join a dynamic, cloud-first engineering team responsible for building a modern, API-driven insurance platform. This role is ideal for a developer who thrives as an independent contributor while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. You will play a pivotal role in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining system features, with a focus on cloud services, microservices architecture, and enterprise-level integrations. The position demands strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a security-first mindset, with the opportunity to contribute to platform strategy and technical design decisions. You will influence both short-term deliverables and long-term architectural vision while ensuring platform performance and reliability. Occasional travel may be required for strategic planning meetings.

Accountabilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain software features within a cloud-first, API-driven platform.
  • Contribute technical expertise to cross-functional, agile development teams including QA and business analysts.
  • Participate in architectural design decisions and provide guidance for complex enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with Product teams to translate requirements into robust, scalable solutions.
  • Ensure code quality through unit testing, functional testing, and regression testing.
  • Maintain and optimize system performance while adhering to security and compliance standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and team development.
  • Proactively identify issues and deliver innovative solutions while mentoring junior team members.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5–10 years of software development experience with proficiency in C# and .NET.
  • Minimum 3 years in a senior technical role contributing to enterprise-level projects.
  • Experience designing and delivering RESTful APIs, integrations, and complex business processes.
  • Proficiency with cloud services, preferably Azure, including serverless computing, data storage, messaging, and logging.
  • Strong experience with monolithic and microservice architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL DBs, Document DBs, unstructured data).
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and working across multiple teams.
  • Preferred: Experience in Commercial Property and Casualty insurance, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, TypeScript, and SPA frameworks (Angular, React).

  • Annual salary range: $100,000–$135,000, based on experience and location.
