Art Director

Situation is a marketing agency for unforgettable experiences like WICKED on Broadway, The Lion King, The Metropolitan Opera, and The Empire State Building. Are you a creative leader with a passion for arts and entertainment? As an Art Director (AD), you’ll guide a talented design team to produce bold, high-quality work across digital and print. From eye-catching key art and title treatments to cohesive brand identities, you’ll shape visual storytelling for top clients in the industry.

With a deep appreciation for entertainment and pop culture, the AD champions creativity, consistency, and collaboration. You’re equally skilled at leading teams, navigating feedback, and delivering exceptional results that meet client goals.

Our office is located in midtown Manhattan and we are currently working in-office three days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead & Inspire: Motivate your team to produce exceptional, cross-channel creative work.
  • Craft Visuals: Develop impactful key art, title treatments, and cohesive branding across digital and print.
  • Streamline Processes: Create workflows, guidelines, and systems to ensure efficiency.
  • Collaborate & Execute: Partner with photographers, freelancers, and vendors to bring ideas to life.
  • Stay Ahead: Monitor design trends and pop culture to keep work fresh and relevant.
  • Present & Deliver: Confidently share creative concepts with teams and clients, turning feedback into results.

Who You Are:

  • A creative problem-solver with a sharp eye for design and storytelling.
  • Skilled in crafting key art, title treatments, and branding that stands out.
  • Organized, collaborative, and ready to lead a team to success.
  • Passionate about arts, entertainment, and the influence of pop culture on design.
  • 6+ years of similar experience at a creative agency or television network
  • A portfolio showcasing polished, well-thought design in lead and hands-on roles
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign)
  • Eagle-eye for details like spotting alignment issues and inconsistencies
  • Strong sense of typography
  • Dynamic and confident presentation skills to pitch ideas clearly and effectively
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced creative environment
  • A deep understanding of how technical factors affect designing for the digital space
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve efficiently, intelligently, and with positivity
