Internship - Animation Production Management (Summer 2025)

Skydance Animation is seeking summer interns for our Production Management department. We are looking for individuals who are eager to join a collaborative creative studio and have an interest in learning about the various areas of production support for Animation.

 

Our internship program offers its own unique opportunities for learning and engagement. You will have the chance to network and meet with Skydance leaders, learn transferable skills, and gain real-world work experience. It is an experience ideal for those moving from classroom to the industry.


This is a full-time paid internship.


Responsibilities
  • Develop an understanding of the Animation Production process and pipeline
  • Learn various production softwares: Shotgrid, Flix, FilemakerPro, SharePoint, etc.
  • Support and assist daily needs of production departments in the various stages
  • Attend production meetings or film screenings - assist with taking, logging, and distribution of notes
  • Maintain and organize filing systems 
  • Track statuses and maintain awareness of production timeline
  • Handle confidential correspondence, reports, and other documents
  • + much more!
  • Ad hoc duties as necessary

The tasks above are a generalization of different activities the Production Interns will do to give students the best learning experience possible.


Requirements
  • Available for a 10-week, hybrid program running Monday, June 9 – Friday, August 15
  • Must be available full-time (9:00 AM-6:00 PM ET) - on-site Tuesday – Thursday (reasonable accommodations may be considered)
  • Must be enrolled at an accredited institution for duration of internship participation
  • Passion for the Animation/Entertainment industry, focus on Production a plus
  • Proficiency in Google tools and MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Self-starter with proficient writing and critical thinking skills, attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced media environment
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal


The hourly rate for this non-exempt position is $17.81.  


You must be available to work full-time from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (ET) for the duration of the program (Mon-Fri, June 9 to August 15). Our offices will be closed on June 19 and July 4. Aside from those dates, no additional vacation days can be accommodated.
