Human Resources Assistant

Role Overview

SodexoMagic is hiring a Human Resources Assistant to support the daily HR functions in the student nutrition operations for the District of Columbia Public Schools in the Washington, DC area. This role requires strong administrative, organizational, written and verbal communication, and multi-project management skills. Being bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.

SodexoMagic is the joint venture partnership between NBA Hall of Famer, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, and Sodexo. As a certified minority company, we deliver food, facilities management and integrated services to corporations, healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, colleges and universities and aviation lounges. This strategic alliance between Magic Johnson Enterprises and Sodexo, Inc., enables us to deliver creative solutions to our clients along with our local partners throughout the communities we serve.

What You'll Do

• Compile and maintain personnel records 
• Process candidate applications
• Schedule candidate interviews and complete onboarding and new hire documents
• Perform payroll-related functions as well as track Paid Time Off documents and utilization
• Assist with writing and administering disciplinary documentation
• Assist with employee grievances as necessary 
• Assist with facilitating employee training and development
