Summary:

The Used Car Porter maintains the cleanliness, organization, and functionality of our used car inventory. This position supports the sales and service teams by ensuring vehicles are well-prepared for display, test drives, and customer deliveries, contributing to an exceptional customer experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of used car inventory, including washing, vacuuming, and detailing vehicles.
• Move vehicles to and from designated areas, including lot staging, service bays, and customer delivery points.
• Inspect vehicles for damage and report any issues to the appropriate manager.
• Assist with organizing and maintaining the used car lot to ensure it is clean, orderly, and presentable for customers.
• Deliver vehicles for fuel, maintenance, or other required services as directed.
• Provide support during customer test drives by retrieving and preparing vehicles.
• Install license plates and remove stickers, tags, or other temporary materials as needed.
• Assist with inventory checks and ensure all vehicles are properly documented.

• Physically able to drive and move vehicles
• Ability to work in the elements (outdoors) for extended periods of time
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail to maintain the dealership’s professional appearance
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Must be authorized to work in the USA
• Must be willing to undergo pre-employment compliance requirements: Drug testing, background check, MVR.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a porter or similar role in the automotive industry.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and detailing processes.

Compensation (Hourly):

• $18.00 - 25.00 / hour

*The Porter Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of eighteen to twenty-five dollars an hour*

Schedule: 

• FULL TIME
• 5 days a week / 2 days off
• Sundays off
• Saturday availability required
• Service Drive Hours:
  • Monday - Saturday: 7am to 6pm
