Full Stack Propulsion Software Engineer, Data Analysis (Raptor)

SpaceX is advancing technologies for human life on Mars, developing cutting-edge rocket engines with sophisticated software systems for data analysis and mission support. The Full Stack Propulsion Software Engineer will develop reliable web applications and data pipelines to analyze Raptor engine performance, supporting both operation and design processes.

Skills

  • Full-stack web development with frontend and backend technologies.
  • Proficiency in Python, C#, .NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar languages.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React.
  • Data management, analysis, and visualization techniques.
  • Use of infrastructure tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Version control and CI/CD pipeline knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Develop highly reliable web applications and data pipelines for cleaning, curating, and exploring Raptor engine performance data.
  • Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews to ensure high-quality software solutions.
  • Develop frontend applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Implement backend components in Python, C#/.NET, and Java.
  • Create tools to support mission planning, design, and engine performance vetting.
  • Develop data trending and analysis portals for the Raptor engineering community.
  • Assist with anomaly resolution by collaborating with engineering teams.
  • Improve interoperability of existing tools across the organization.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related STEM discipline, or equivalent work experience.
