Full Stack Software Engineer, Constellation Tools (Starlink)

SpaceX is pioneering space technologies to enable human life on Mars and is currently expanding its Starlink broadband internet constellation. They seek full stack software engineers to develop critical constellation tools that ensure the safe and efficient operation of Starlink satellites and ground assets.

Skills

Proficiency in full-stack development with JavaScript/TypeScript and backend languages like Python, C#, .NET, or Java
Experience with frontend frameworks such as Angular or React
Familiarity with relational databases including PostgreSQL and CockroachDB
Knowledge of streaming data processing tools like Kafka, RabbitMQ, Flink, or Spark Streaming
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and Unix-like operating systems

Responsibilities

Develop highly reliable and available web applications and data pipelines for commanding and monitoring satellite fleets
Build frontend applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS that are maintainable and well-tested
Deliver backend services in Python, C#/.NET, and Java with performance and maintainability focus
Implement continuous monitoring and alerting systems to improve system observability and data-driven decisions
Assist in satellite and ground asset operations to enhance issue resolution and operational efficiency
Automate manual operations emphasizing operator user experience and network safety

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or STEM discipline or equivalent professional experience
